3Quarter Lane is a series of 12 buildings, each one a charming addition to your own miniature village. The buildings come packaged flat with pre-cut chipboard and patterned paper pieces ready for you to assemble and create your own miniature village. True to the 3Quarter brand, these kits give you three quarters — the basics — and you can expand on them using other items from your stash.

Part 3 — The Toolbox is the hardware store every village needs, in the 3Quarter Lane collection. With weathered white timber cladding, a corrugated iron-style roof in warm rust and brown tones, and a dormer window sign reading “Hardware, Tools, Garden, Timber”, this rustic beauty has bags of character. A stack of firewood, garden tools leaning against the front, potted plants, gumboots, a large cog wheel on the side, and a rustic lean-to shed complete the scene. Each base board has a jigsaw-type shape so they connect together — but if you're not doing the whole series, you can also cut this off to have a stand-alone piece.

This Kit Contains

  • Pre-cut Chipboard Pieces for the building, floor/base, and windows
  • Matching Laser/Die-cut embellishments and papers ready to assemble
  • 3 printed A4 sheets that can be used for a mini album, cards, or other decorating
  • White scored paper strips for assembly
  • Chipboard & matching paper jigsaw piece floor

Make It Your Own

This is where the fun begins! Here are some ideas to take your Toolbox to the next level:

  • Real twine or jute string tied around the firewood stack for extra texture
  • Tiny seed packet die-cuts or stickers propped in the window display
  • Small dried moss or lichen tucked around the potted plants
  • A miniature “Closed” sign on a piece of kraft card to swap with the Open sign
  • Rust-coloured ink daubed on the roofline edges for an aged effect
  • Mini nuts, bolts, or brad fasteners scattered on the footpath for a hardware store feel
  • Tuck a mini album inside the store using the included A4 papers
